Terms & Conditions
These terms cover use of this website, and set out how quotations, artwork approval, production and delivery work when you place an order with us.
About these terms
This website is operated by WissenPress Innovations Pvt. Ltd., a Private Limited Company incorporated in India (CIN U22300CT2022PTC013717), with its place of business at First Floor, Rajhans Arcade, Mall Road, Kohka, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh 490020. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Sections 4 to 14 apply where you go on to request a quotation or place an order. Where we issue a written quotation, purchase order acknowledgement or job sheet for a specific job, the terms recorded there apply to that job in addition to these, and prevail over these terms if the two conflict.
Using this website
- You may view, download and print pages for your own business purposes in evaluating us as a supplier
- The design, text, drawings, logo and layout of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, republish or reuse them commercially without our written permission
- You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its server, submit automated or bulk enquiries, or use the enquiry form to send unsolicited marketing
- We may withdraw or change the site, or any part of it, without notice
We take reasonable care over the accuracy of what is published here, but the site is provided for information. Specifications, options and capabilities described are indicative and are confirmed on a job-by-job basis in your quotation.
What we do and do not do
We are a print manufacturer. We produce books, journals, diaries, notebooks and print collateral in bulk to a specification agreed with you.
We are not a publisher. We do not provide publishing, self-publishing, editorial, proofreading, translation, ghost-writing, manuscript assessment, ISBN registration, distribution or retail listing services, and we acquire no rights in any work we print.
Our pre-press work is print preparation only: we accept print-ready files and assist with artwork checks, size and bleed setup and colour verification. Design origination and editorial work sit outside our scope.
Quotations and pricing
- Pricing is quotation-based and slab-based. A figure is calculated against quantity, trim size, page count, paper type and weight, print method, number of colours, binding, finishing and delivery location
- No prices are published on this site, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell at a particular price
- A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. Where no period is stated it is open to revision, in particular if paper or transport costs move
- A quotation applies to the specification it names. If any element changes — extent, paper, quantity, binding, finishing or delivery — the quotation is revised. We re-quote a changed specification without charge
- Taxes are charged as applicable under Indian law and shown separately on the invoice
Placing an order
Submitting the enquiry form is a request for a quotation. It does not create a contract and does not reserve production capacity.
A contract is formed when you confirm a quotation in writing, or issue a purchase order that we acknowledge in writing. Payment terms, advance and schedule are agreed in writing for each order and are not published on this site.
Artwork and proof approval
Files should be supplied print-ready: PDF, pages in reading order, fonts embedded or outlined, images at print resolution, CMYK, with bleed and crop marks. The cover should be a separate file with spine width calculated for the extent and paper.
- We check supplied files for size, bleed, resolution and colour, and flag what needs correcting. This check does not extend to spelling, grammar, factual accuracy, page numbering or the content of the work, which remain yours
- Production begins only after you approve the proof. The approved proof is the reference for the run
- Once a proof is approved, you are responsible for what it contains. Errors present in an approved proof and reproduced faithfully in the run are not a defect
- Changes requested after proof approval may require re-plating or re-scheduling, and are chargeable
- Delivery timelines run from proof approval, not from order date. Delay in approving a proof moves the schedule
Your content and rights
You retain all rights in the work you send us. By sending files you confirm that:
- You own the rights in the content, or hold the necessary licences and permissions to have it printed in the quantity ordered
- The content does not infringe any copyright, trade mark or other right, and is not defamatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful to reproduce in India
- You will indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from a breach of the above
We may decline to print any material we consider unlawful, or which we reasonably believe infringes a third party's rights. We do not use your files for any purpose other than producing your order, and we do not show or supply them to anyone else.
Production tolerances
Printing and binding are physical processes with normal, industry-recognised tolerances. The following are characteristics of the process, not defects:
- Minor variation in colour between a proof and the run, and between reprints, within commercially acceptable limits. Where exact colour is critical, tell us before quotation so it can be specified and controlled
- Minor variation in trim, fold, and cover positioning within standard tolerance
- Minor variation in paper shade, bulk and finish between mill batches
- Reasonable overs or unders against the ordered quantity, charged or credited as supplied, in line with trade practice
Where a specification you send us is capable of more than one reading, we will ask rather than assume. If it is approved at proof, the proof governs.
Packing and delivery
- Consignments are packed for transit and dispatched across India. A single run can be split across several delivery addresses where agreed at quotation stage
- Delivery timelines given for an order are estimates made in good faith and run from proof approval. We keep you informed if a schedule moves
- Risk passes on delivery to you or to your nominated carrier. Please check the consignment on arrival and note any visible transit damage on the delivery documentation, as carriers will not entertain a later claim
- Where you nominate the carrier, delivery is at your risk from collection
- Storage of finished goods beyond an agreed dispatch date may be chargeable
Claims and remedies
Please inspect the goods promptly. Any claim about quantity, quality or specification should reach us in writing within 7 days of delivery, with the reference number and photographs or samples of the issue, and before any part of the consignment is distributed or used.
Where a job is genuinely defective against the approved proof and agreed specification, our remedy is, at our option, to reprint the affected portion or to credit its value. This is your sole remedy for a defective job.
Changes and cancellation
- Changes requested before proof approval are usually straightforward and result in a revised quotation where the specification has moved
- Because every job is manufactured to your specification and cannot be resold, an order cancelled after production has begun is chargeable for work completed and materials committed to that point
- An order cancelled before proof approval is chargeable only for pre-press work already carried out, if any
- Cancellation must be in writing to be effective
Custom-manufactured goods produced to your approved specification are not returnable except where defective as described above.
Liability
Our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the invoice value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of an event date, lost publicity or reputational loss, however arising.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including paper or material shortages, power failure, transport disruption, strike, fire, flood, epidemic, civil disturbance, or governmental action. Where such an event occurs we will tell you promptly and agree a revised schedule.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Durg, Chhattisgarh have exclusive jurisdiction, save that we may bring proceedings to recover sums due in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
